Rover LX and Ultra models have independent coil suspension with top quality shock absorbers that give smooth travel over rough corrugated roads and tracks. The stub axle is removable to allow easy and inexpensive replacement if needed. The trailing arms are hot-dipped galvanised for durability.

Hubs Standard hubs and tyres are 6 stud, fitted with new all terrain 265 x 70 R16 tyres. Other tyre sizes and stud patterns are available and can generally be matched to the tow vehicle. This is often an extra cost if the trailer wheels need to be genuinely interchangeable with the tow vehicle and vice versa.

Does Galvanizing affect Steel Strength? Industrial Galvanizers submitted samples to the BHP Port Kembla Technical Services for testing. The conclusions were as follows: "Both these tests have verified that hot dip galvanizing of either un-coated high strength steel or the hot dip galvanizing of pre-galvanized high strength steel after acid stripping of the original coating has no effect on the structural strength of the steels involved." Industrial Galvanizers also noted that, "Approximately 100,000 tonnes of steel in various forms, such as this large navigation tower, is galvanized annually by Industrial Galvanizers without any problems relating to the hot dip galvanizing process affecting the steel's strength."
